As you know, one of the things that this site focuses on is trying to understand how we might merge civic engagement and experiential learning with online education. Consider the implications of the numbers in the video below as they relate to civic engagement and higher education. The same realities that suggest some fundamental changes are in order regarding teaching and learning also mean that expanded definitions of ideas like “service” and “civic engagement” are necessary as well.
